ABOUT EZEKIEL TAYLOR · FOUNDER

Leadership Consulting Durham NC

I've always seen the gap. I've always built the bridge.

Ezekiel Taylor is a business systems advisor based in Durham, NC — and the founder of Taylor Advisors. For over a decade, he’s watched capable operators get held back not by their skill but by broken infrastructure. Missed follow-ups, manual invoices, and a business that only runs when they’re in the room.

THE ORIGIN

This story starts

14 weeks early.

Born a full 14 weeks premature, Ezekiel Taylor’s first act was a fight for survival. That resilience — the refusal to accept “not ready yet” as a permanent condition — has defined everything since.

By age eight, he was named the March of Dimes 2007 National Ambassador, traveling the country to share his story and meeting with President George W. Bush at the White House. He was on a national platform before most people have a career. And he was already doing what he’s still doing: seeing a gap, stepping into it, and communicating clearly to rooms that need to hear something important.

"I've always seen the same pattern: the infrastructure isn't keeping up with the people who need it. So I build the infrastructure."

What came next was a decade-plus of building systems across organizations — communications infrastructure, media teams, digital operations, client workflows. The industry changed. The pattern didn’t.

TRACK RECORD

Ezekiel Taylor — a decade of building the business systems

that were missing.

Every role, every organization, the same throughline: Ezekiel walks in, sees what isn’t there, and builds it.

APPLE / RALEIGH

Media Team Founder & Lead

Built Apple Raleigh 1's first media team from the ground up

Designed and managed a multi-disciplinary creative staff for weekly communications. Partnered with Employee Engagement to capture events, oversee visual storytelling, and lead a team of photographers, videographers, designers, and project leaders. The team didn’t exist before Ezekiel arrived.

It’s the same approach Ezekiel Taylor brings to every business systems engagement at Taylor Advisors — build from the ground up, document every decision, leave the client fully equipped.

128 Advisory

Senior Advisor

Developed the "Fast Track Blueprint" — a systems framework built to be replicated

Designed a complete operational playbook to help organizations develop their next-generation programs from scratch. The work wasn’t just advisory — it was infrastructure. A document that became a training tool used by others long after Ezekiel left the room.

UNION BAPTIST CHURCH

Digital Media Specialist

Designed a branding system that became a training tool for the entire organization

Built the communications infrastructure from the inside out — branding book, social media systems, video production workflows, community engagement strategy. Managed platforms across every channel and expanded the organization’s reach well beyond its physical location.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Serial Founder

Founded and operated two businesses — a consulting agency and a creative media company

Built both from the ground up. Learned firsthand what it takes to run a business without systems, and what it costs when the infrastructure doesn’t keep pace with the demand. That experience is what Taylor Advisors was built on.

WHAT DRIVES THE WORK

Four beliefs that shape

every engagement.

Taylor Advisors has partnered with Bull City Creative to offer the complete business launch — custom website and full backend, built together and delivered synchronized.

01.

Systems should outlast the person who built them

Everything Ezekiel builds is designed to run without him. If you need him in the room to keep it working, he hasn’t done his job yet.

02.

Clarity before complexity

Most solopreneurs don’t need more tools — they need fewer, connected correctly. The audit comes before the build, every time.

03.

Done with you, not for you

Every system we build together, we walk through together. You own it completely and can manage it independently from day one.

04.

The best operators understand their infrastructure

It’s not enough to have a CRM. You need to know why it’s set up the way it is — so you can adapt it as your business grows.

BY THE NUMBERS

Why Ezekiel Taylor founded a business systems advisory firm in Durham, NC.

Most solopreneurs are great at their work.

Their backend tells a different story.

Ezekiel spent years observing capable, talented people get held back — not by their skill, but by the infrastructure around them. Broken processes. Disconnected tools. A business that runs only when they’re in the room.

Taylor Advisors exists to close that gap. Not with a complicated retainer or a generic software recommendation — with a five-day, done-with-you build that hands you a working backend and the understanding to run it.

Based in Durham, NC. Serving clients nationwide.

A BIT MORE PERSONAL

Beyond the résumé

what drives Ezekiel Taylor as a Durham NC business systems advisor.

Ezekiel Taylor, business systems advisor and Durham, NC native, started his public story at age eight as the March of Dimes 2007 National Ambassador — born 14 weeks premature and using his platform to advocate for families navigating similar challenges.

He believes the best systems are invisible — when your business backend is working right, you stop noticing it because it just runs. His goal isn’t to be your permanent tech support. It’s to build something so well you forget he was ever there.

When he’s not in a client build session, he’s thinking about what gets in the way of small business owners growing the way they should — and designing systems to remove it.
